Munnar which is located in the Western Ghats at an elevation of about 1600m above the sea level is a parasidical hill station for the tourists. Another special attraction here is the tea Museum, also known as Kannan Devan Hills Plantation which is 4km long and magnificent. Here, the oldest tea production company is situated and tea production tour as well as tea tasting is done. You can taste or take come different varieties of tea from this museum. Different types of machines since the olden times and pictures of the early production are exhibited here.
Munnar also has some adventurous attractions like the beautiful cascading Attukul waterfalls which makes it's way deep and neat amongst the spectacular green nature and also the Mattupetty Dam which stands strong with its fabulous surrounding area and cool water. The view of this dam is so splendid that one wouldn't want to leave the place any sooner.
The Anamudi wildlife park is nestled in the mountain ranges and also Hydel park which is apt for trekkers and river rafters is just kilometers away. Different points such as the Echo point, sunset point and Pothamedu point are delightful for eyes and soul as one can devour the beauty of nature here with mental satisfaction!!!
